Golden LEAF Foundation — makes grants and investments, particularly to economically distressed areas, to help revive the economies of historically tobacco-dependent communities in North Carolina.

Good Work — a community development organization that provides training, consulting and coaching to equip people, entrepreneurs and organizations with business knowledge and skills.

Henderson-Vance Chamber of Commerce — represents the interests of the business community in matters that affect the ability of local businesses to prosper and grow, and the ability of Henderson and Vance County to attract new business.

Institute for Rural Entrepreneurship — a program of the North Carolina Rural Economic Development Center, supports the development of micro, small and medium-size enterprises in North Carolina's 85 rural counties.

Kerr-Tar Regional Council of Governments Small Business Loans — a lender of last resort to help small businesses start, grow and expand to help create jobs in the Kerr-Tar Region.

Minority Business Development Center of North Carolina — a partnership program of the N.C. Institute of Minority Economic Development and the U. S. Minority Business Development Agency, provides technical and financial assistance to existing and emerging minority business across the state.

N.C. Military Business Center — a business development organization that seeks to leverage military and other federal business opportunities including contracts, employment and recruitment of defense-related businesses.

N.C. State University Industrial Extension Service — a statewide, university-affiliated organization partnering with N.C. industry as a catalyst for the transfer of knowledge and technology.

North Carolina Department of Commerce — provides a wide range of services and financial assistance to help businesses locate, grow and expand in North Carolina.

North Carolina Biotechnology Center — promotes growth of the state's biotechnology industry through research, business assistance, worker training and public education.

North Carolina Rural Economic Development Center — operates a multi-faceted program that includes conducting research into rural issues; advocating for policy and program innovations; and building the productive capacity of rural leaders, entrepreneurs and community organizations.

Research Triangle Business Advantage Center — an online one-stop-shop for comprehensive data and links to resources for businesses in the 13-county Research Triangle Region, which includes Vance County.

Small Business and Technology Development Center — provides management counseling and educational services to small and mid-sized businesses throughout North Carolina from 17 offices across the state, each affiliated with a college or university.

U.S. Department of Agriculture-Rural Development — provides information on rural development programs, such as business/corporation development, rural utilities, community facilities and housing.
